Completion of an undergraduate (AQF Level 7) Accounting course accredited by CPA Australia at this or another University.

Minimum English language proficiency requirements

Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 2Schedule II of the 石榴视频 Admissions Policy.

Applicants must be enrolled in the CPA Australia Program as an Associate Member.

Students are required to undertake externally invigilated and assessed CPA examinations at their own cost as part of their assessment for List 1 subjects.  Student results will be made available to 石榴视频 by CPA Australia and be incorporated into the grades for those subjects.

On successful completion of the Graduate Diploma of Advanced Accounting, graduates will be able to:

  • understand the role of the accountant in the development and implementation of strategy
  • use analytical tools and models to analyse the industry and the market in which an organisation operates
  • use analytical tools and models to understand and measure the performance of the organisation
  • use business information for decision-making from an organisational perspective
  • identify and explain the key challenges faced in the implementation of strategy and the role of the accountant in the implementation and leadership functions
  • consolidate the understanding of strategy and leadership concepts through the use of real-world examples integrated throughout the material, and apply these concepts to business case scenarios through the use of case studies
  • apply skills in thinking strategically and formulating broad strategies for consideration and application in their organisational environment

Advanced Standing

Eligibility

Students may apply for advanced standing for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Advanced Standing and Articulation policy and associated procedures

Maximum allowed

12 credit points except where a student transfers from one 石榴视频 award to another, then advanced standing may be granted for more than two-thirds of the new award, where there is subject equivalence between the awards

Currency

Advanced standing will be granted only for subjects completed in the 5 years prior to the commencement of this course

Expiry

Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 8 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the student has not completed this course.
