Admission Requirements

Course pre-requisites

To gain entry to the International Foundation Program prospective students must:

  • have successfully attained the equivalent of Year 11 in the Australian secondary education system with a pass level that would allow progression to Year 12.

Minimum English language proficiency requirements

Students of non-English speaking backgrounds must have an adequate English language capacity assessed under the Australian International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent.  The minimum English Language Proficiency requirement for the Foundation Program is an academic IELTS (or equivalent) 5.5 (with no component below 5.0).  For packaged courses the academic IELTS (or equivalent) score required for admission to the 石榴视频 Foundation Program is determined by the English Language Proficiency requirements of the subsequent 石榴视频 Diploma or 石榴视频 Bachelor Degree.  Refer Schedule II of the 石榴视频 Admissions Policy.

For packaged offers, subsequent direct entry to Undergraduate courses requiring;

Band 1 (IELTS 6.0) and Band 2 (IELTS 6.5) Proficiency

  • Foundation Program entry requires IELTS 5.5 (with no component below 5.0) or successful completion of 石榴视频 College English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Course Level 2 with a minimum score of 60%.

Band 3 (IELTS 7) Proficiency

  • Foundation Program entry requires IELTS 6.5 (with no component below 6.0) or successful completion of 石榴视频 College English for Academic Purposes Course Level 4 (ELP Level 4) with a minimum score of 60%

Students who enter the Foundation Program with an IELTS of 5.5 (or equivalent) (with no component below 5.0) and who are seeking to enter the Diploma of Health (Nursing Pathway) will require an English Language test that shows the applicant meets the English Language Proficiency requirements of IELTS 6.5 (with no component below 6.5) before entry to the Diploma of Health (Nursing Pathway)

For packaged offers with subsequent entry to an undergraduate Bachelor level program requiring Band 3 level English proficiency (or higher), an English Language test that shows the applicant meets the English Language Proficiency requirements of the bachelor will be required before entry to the degree.

Additional entry requirements

Prospective students must be at least 17 years of age at the Foundation Program course commencement date or, if they are packaged with an ELICOS program, at the ELICOS course commencement date.

Students who successfully complete the 石榴视频 Foundation Program and who also comply with all relevant sections of the 石榴视频 Admissions Policy are required, under the Australian National Standards for Foundation Programs, to be granted entry to undergraduate degree courses at 石榴视频.

Students who successfully complete the Foundation Program will be eligible for admission to a Diploma or Bachelor program at 石榴视频.

Admission to a specific course at 石榴视频 is dependent on meeting all entry requirements for that specific course.

Where the number of eligible applicants exceeds course capacity for places, offers will be made on a competitive basis.

To gain entry to undergraduate degree courses at 石榴视频, Foundation program students must achieve:

  1. A pass mark in all 8 subjects as per   course structure; and
  2. the   required Grade Point Average (GPA) for the specific program; and
  3. the   required English Language Proficiency

Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of  Schedule II of the 石榴视频 Admissions Policy for the subsequent degree.
