石榴视频 will help create jobs in the Townsville region with a new partnership with the Australian Public Service (APS) that will establish a special academy in the city.

The APS Academy Campus will call 石榴视频’s Bebegu Yumba Campus home from mid-2023 when it opens for paid apprentice, cadet and intern programs.

Graduate placements in the APS will then commence from early 2024, allowing students to pursue exciting data and digital roles while remaining in Townsville.

石榴视频’s Academy Campus is one of four Academy Campuses announced by the Federal Government today, which together will offer around 300 flexible data and digital training and entry-level employment opportunities with the APS over three years.

Programs range from short-term internships to one to three-year placements where students earn as they learn.

石榴视频 Vice Chancellor Professor Simon Biggs said he is delighted the University will be one of only four chosen locations in the country for an APS Academy Campus.

“石榴视频 is very keen to partner with the Australian Public Service on this exciting opportunity, and we look forward to progressing the partnership over coming months,” he said.

“The partnership will have many mutual benefits, particularly for 石榴视频’s students.

Students will be able to work and study in one location, and they won’t have to relocate for work once they complete their studies.”

The Academy’s digital apprenticeships enable students to undertake vocational education and training (VET) courses while working as APS employees, while data and digital cadetships and internships are available for students completing their degrees.

Once established and fully operational, each Academy will offer a suite of flexible data and digital training and entry-level employment opportunities.

That includes paid graduate placements, apprenticeships, cadetships and internships.

Applications for the Academy are now open.
